A HIGHER CALLING

I love butterflies!...
especially when they are fluttering about in our garden.
Here are a few photos I took while wondering into their world.
Had to add some interesting quotes along with a quirky Japanese commercial.
Hope you enjoy....

The caterpillar does all the work
but the butterfly gets all the publicity.

CLOSE ENCOUNTERS

Do you ever wonder what He might look like?
Do you ever think...
was that Him?

Some mornings when I wake up
and walk outside,
I feel like God is allowing me to catch a giant glimpse of His mysterious presence!!!

This is worth enlarging with your mouse!!!
When the air is filled with a golden glow
and tiny droplets of peace are baptising my garden's home...
I know He is close by.

When my neighbors are nestled in their sweet country home
kindly tucked within His lingering cloud of glory...
I know He is close by.

When outstretched trees are bathing in His sun drenched warmth
and He reaches around each leaf to say hello...
I know He is close by.

When He reminds me of how tiny my life is compared to His lightness of Being
and that His light will always overpower my darkness...
I know He is close by!!!

So....
I pray
that His Light
will always Shine through me
and all those around me!!!
In Jesus mighty name!!!
Let it shine!!!

HOMELESS BUMBLEBEE?

A HUMBLE BUMBLE...

Tap on picture to enlarge bumblebee!!

Stumbled upon a bumble
this morning...
and I do believe it was shopping
the clearance isle
of the Nectar Store!

Good to know even the bees shop at the
TJ Max's and Dollar Stores for bargains.
We are all so similar in so many ways.

Desperate... definitely
Homeless... maybe
Treasureless... never

Desperately seeking nourishment (from above).
Homeless and Humble = Mansions and Heaven
Poor in riches but Rich in Spirit

Just seeing the little fella
makes me think of 2 lessons from above:

1)  Strive to be more efficient with everything that has been given to me.

2)  no matter how bad things may get...
he will always supply all of my needs!!!

to the One who remembered us in our low estate
His love endures forever.
and freed us from our enemies,
His love endures forever.
and who gives food to every creature.
His love endures forever.
Give thanks to the God of heaven.
His love endures forever.
Psalms 136: 23-26

GOD'S FLUFF...

Guess what's growing in the garden?

I had to go back to my neck of the woods
to find the seed....

It's grown up to 6' tall and is falling over with blossoms...
Can you guess yet?

It has beautiful pink swirls of blossoms...
with full giant leaves to gather its food and light....

Do you know?

On the bottom,
the bulbs are beginning to break open their hard outer shells
 to reveal their
hidden treasures.

Any ideas yet?

COTTON!!!
We're growing cotton.

Went all they way back to Arkansas for the cotton seed.
A fond memory of growing up surrounded by cotton fields.
So we planted some for fun.

Will harvest it this Fall
and see what type of price we can get for it at the cotton gin.
or...
maybe make a sweater for my hubby.
That ought to be interesting...
made out of duck tape and cotton balls

Can hardly wait to tell my kiddos...
"Now, get out there and pick that cotton!"
That way they'll have a cotton pickin story for their kids.

Isn't it beautiful!!!
White and woolly balls of fluff
all to protect a sweet little seed within.

This is what I imagine for my little chicks as they grow up
in a prickly world.
that God protects them as they grow....
surrounding their hearts, minds, body and souls
with a lot of His fluff!!!

For the seed shall be prosperous;
the vine shall give her fruit,
and the ground shall give her increase,
and the heavens shall give their dew;
and I will cause the remnant of this people
to possess all these things.

ALIEN INVASION

BREAKING NEWS...........................
.............................ALIEN INVASION

WHOVILLE
HAS BEEN INVADED
BY

ALIENS!

AN UNIDENTIFIED FLYING INSECT HAS BEEN SPOTTED OVER WHOVILLE.
THE CREATURE APPEARS TO BE GREEN WITH AN OVERSIZED HEAD, BULGING EYES AND HAS SWORDS FOR HANDS.

JUST KIDDING...
MEET PAUL
{THE PRAYING MAN}
HE IS WHOVILLE'S LOCAL SECURITY GUARD.

HE WAS TAGGED WITH THE NICKNAME
'THE PRAYING MAN'
SINCE HE CONTINUALLY PRAYS OVER THE TOWN OF WHOVILLE!

YOU CAN ALSO FIND HIM TIDYING UP THE NEIGHBORHOODS
CLEANING UP ANY DIRT FOUND WITHIN.
HE WIPES EVERYTHING DOWN
SO THAT THE TOWN OF WHOVILLE
CAN LIVE GREEN AND CLEAN.

THE WHO'S
FEEL SAFE KNOWING
THAT PAUL
IS WATCHING THEIR BACKSIDE.
NO ONE CAN ENTER WHOVILLE WITHOUT GOING THROUGH SECURITY!!!

I am the gate;
whoever enters through me will be saved.
He will come in and go out,
and find pasture.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;
I have come that they may have life,
and have it to the full.
John 10:9-10

May I remember to thank my gatekeeper today
for all the tidying up he does in my life
and all the security he provides for me!
Amen.

BREAKFAST AT KIMBERLY'S...

Does it get any better than this...
A classic woman
singing a classic song
making a classic movie.
All in One!

I hum this tune almost every time
I see the Moonvine
that creeps over our bell tower.

Wondering what its moonlit night was like.
The large white saucers clinging to their vine
uniquely live from dusk til dawn.
Then they grow old and pass on...
to the big bright light in the sky.

Huge white plates
a blooming feast
for those who taste.
Shining for its friend up high
reflecting what it sees then dies.

There aren't too many interpretations
of the lyrics of Moon River.
But I think it's a love song between
my moonflowers and their moon friend.

Kind of like David's love song
to his friend without sin.
Kind of like His kids longing
for the Maker of men.

Imagine if you were a moonflower
and the moon was your maker
and you only had 12 hours to live your life
mostly in the darkest hours of the day...

Would you shine?

Would you brighten the night
with what little time you had?

Would you sing for Him?

Would you bloom to your fullest?

Here's a little snippet in time
of the life of my Moon Flower
and its love song to their Moon friend...

Moon River, wider than a mile,

I'm crossing you in style some day.

Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,

wherever you're going I'm going your way.

Two drifters off to see the world.

There's such a lot of world to see.

We're after the same rainbow's end--

waiting 'round the bend,
my huckleberry friend,

Moon River and me.

And we,
who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory,
are being transformed into his likeness
with ever-increasing glory,
which comes from the Lord,
who is the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:18

May we all shine brightly today
and bloom to our fullest potential
to reflect the One who gave us this day.
