HEAVENLY PUMPKIN PETIT FOURS

Sad news arrived late yesterday
that
my sweet neighbor's dog,
Liam,
had passed away.
Liam has a special place in our hearts
since he  'fathered'  one of our own...

Coco.

An original Shegle....
part Sheltie
part Beagle!

When you have a heaviness in your heart,
it's always good to go to God and have a little chat!

And I do believe,
I did hear him say...

Heavenly Pumpkin Petit Fours!!!

So... without hesitation...
I stepped out in Faith and into the pantry.

God was sooo good,
He had already filled the pantry
with all the ingredients needed for their making!!!

That was my confirmation that He wanted my neighbors
to have these sweet treats to comfort their hurting hearts!!!

So.. Here's to having Liam around for the short time in our lives.
He truly was a
Heaven-sent lil' Pumpkin on Petite Fours!!!

He will be missed!

WICKIPEDIA STATES:
petit four (plural: petits fours) is a small confection generally eaten at the end of a meal
(e.g. with coffee) or served as part of dessert.

Heavenly Pumpkin Petit Fours!!!
4 eggs
2 cup sugar are in recipe but I used just 1 cup
2 sticks melted unsalted butter
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp cinnamon

Beat eggs well in mixer then add next 2 ingredients and continue mixing.
Then mix in next 2 ingredients.
Finish by mixing in the last 3 ingredients.
Spread in 9 x 13 pan sprayed with PAM
and bake in preheated oven at 350 about 25-35 minutes.

FROSTING:
8 oz light cream cheese (room temp)
1 stick unsalted butter (room temp)
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups powdered sugar

Mix above ingredients in mixer just enough to blend until smooth.
Cover cooled brownies with frosting and then sprinkle with chopped pecans.
Cut them into 1" squares.

Then eat and think about your loved ones!
YUM YUM IN THE TUM!

This recipe was inspired by my favorite cooking website....
