THE FROG MINISTERS TO MY PRINCESS

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,
because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life
set me free from the law of sin and death.
Romans 8:1-2

Does anybody miss middle school?  I really don't think anyone would mind if we just cut that part out of our lives.  My daughter came home from 'middle school' yesterday a little lower in spirit.  After playing a game of questions... she finally confessed that a little boy in her class walked up to her and said...
"You know....Nobody likes you"
.... and walked away!!!
Now... she is my confidant one who usually brushes offenses off like flies and is usually not affected by something like this.  But for some reason this one hit deeper than the rest.  As a mom, you feel like clobbering the little fellow.  But thankfully... I am studying the book of Romans who ever so gently whispered into my ears a better way to react.

The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.
Now if we are children, then we are heirs -
heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ,
if indeed we share in his sufferings
in order that we may also share in his glory.
Romans 8-16-17

After my first blog... yesterday...Frog with a Big Heart...  the frog really stuck with me.  So.... maybe it would minister to my little princess as well. She read it and I asked her how it related to her life.
She quickly stated:
"______  is the frog.... and I think I must be the heart.
He must have something on the inside that I can't see that is better than his outside. "

YES!!!  That's it.  You see after further investigation of this little frog who still hasn't grown out of his tadpole tail... we found that possibly his home situation may have caused a few cracks in his little heart. As a result, he probably feels like the world is a little unsafe and his natural instinct is to hurt the hearts of those around him.  It's so much easier to forgive someone when God shares their hurts with you.  We are also very much aware that our home has its own hidden cracks for which we are seeking by faith the heart of God to rest in. With hopes of walking in freedom day by day.  Middle school will definately be a time of surfacing the tiny cracks in our lives.  Maybe middle school is also the place to share in many sufferings as Jesus did for us where she can be a heart of refuge for those little frogs seeking His love.  We both prayed before school that he would come to know Hannah's heart and the heart of God and that his hurt would turn to happiness.
God is so good to point out
the little tiny moments in our life
(aka... a tiny frog resting on our wooden heart)
and make them minister to the big obstacles
(aka Middle School)!!!!
May we all enter the garden gate and find all of the hidden treasures within!!!
