HUNTING THE HEEL

A Family Duck Hunt
in the Heel of Southern Louisiana's...
 Grand Chenier

My husband is a true Louisiana sportsman
and is raising our son to follow closely in his footprints.
He loves it when we are all together as a family in the duck blind
and watching his favorite world awaken before our very eyes.
It is truly a special moment to witness this world come alive!!!

So...
I would like to dedicate this blog
to my hubby
and all of his dedicated hunting friends.

Enjoying the crisp, cool air....

and a piece of
cold hard steel
with a fiery flair.

Can you see the cross?
 HIS love!

Grains of marsh grass

receiving the SON...

growing

and reaching

for the One true One!

This one's really pretty when you tap on it to enlarge it...
Mixing gulf waters with marshland and grass
reveals porcupine pictures
for those in His class.

As a I study this world,
His beauty unfolds.

Modern marsh

becomes art...

as His
 pelicans take part...

The orchestra files in,
all finding their notes.

The ones stuck below,
in awe and with hope.

The Trinity unveils

singing songs to the pope.

Lonely decoys
and fallen shells

sadly can't see
this heaven from hell.

For even the dead
will rise from their graves...

taking flight
from the night
from which they were saved!!

Swamp daisies abound...

Warm fuzzies surround.

A beautiful song

as we sing right along.

After the hunt...

Warning!  Enlarging photo may cause sudden weight gain.

one seeks boudin in buns...
will surely speed up
my meeting His son!

Mermantau barges

and bulls all around.

Oh give thanks to the Lord;
call upon his name;
make known his deeds among the peoples!
Sing to him, sing praises to him;
tell of all his wondrous works!
—Psalm 105:1-2

All photos were taken
at Grand Cheneir, LA....

the LSU photo above was taken
by 10 year old Jenya
who on his very first hunt
shot his very first duck...
a Wood duck...
mind you,
quite a treasure to be had!
Thanks for sending me your picture, Jenya!!!

And thank you Jimbo...
for sharing the hunt for God's glory...
I shot way over my limit in pics!!!
